Archetype / 01
The operations platform
A business run on spreadsheets gets a single system: orders, scheduling, reporting — one source of truth with the audit trail built in.
London software studio
Quantum Quill Technologies builds web platforms, internal tools and integrations for businesses that value clarity — carefully scoped, plainly explained, built to last.
What we do
We keep our practice narrow on purpose. Four kinds of work, each taken from first conversation to running software.
no. 01
Web applications and customer-facing platforms — designed, built and shipped as one accountable engagement, from data model to interface.
no. 02
The unglamorous software that runs a business: dashboards, admin panels, workflow automation. We replace spreadsheets and manual steps with tools people actually use.
no. 03
Making systems talk to each other — payment providers, CRMs, accounting software, legacy databases — with clean, documented interfaces in between.
no. 04
Software is never finished. We stay with what we build: monitoring, maintenance, measured improvements — a long relationship rather than a handover.

Field notes
Client work stays confidential, so here are three archetypes — the engagements we find ourselves writing most often.

A business run on spreadsheets gets a single system: orders, scheduling, reporting — one source of truth with the audit trail built in.
Archetype / 02
A service business gets its diary, invoicing and client records in one place — with the payment provider and accountant’s software wired in.
Archetype / 03
Two systems that never spoke — a legacy database and a modern platform — joined with a documented API that outlives both of us.
How we think
Plain English before code. If we can’t explain a decision simply, we haven’t finished making it.
Boring, proven technology over fashion. The best systems are the ones nobody has to think about at 2am.
A deliberately small studio. The people you meet are the people who write your software.
“Code is read a hundred times more often than it is written. We write accordingly.”
How we work
We learn your business before proposing anything. Short, focused, honest about scope.
Workflows and interfaces on paper first — cheap to change, easy to challenge.
Weekly, visible progress. Working software early, not a reveal at the end.
We run what we ship — monitoring, fixes and improvements on a simple retainer.
The inkwell
Chosen for longevity and hiring reality, not novelty. Familiar enough that the next engineer — yours or ours — can pick the work up cold.
Tell us what you’re trying to build — or untangle. We reply to every serious enquiry within two working days.
